Why do golfers wear gloves?

Golfers wear golf gloves to prevent the grip from slipping in their hands.

More about why golfers are wearing golf gloves

Especially when your hands start to sweat the grip becomes more slippery.

Golf gloves are meant to create more friction than the bare hand.

There are even special wet weather gloves for rainy conditions.

Golf gloves are not required but they are recommended for golfers of all levels.

A right-handed golfer would usually wear a golf glove on the left hand as this is the lead hand; left handed golfers, leading with their right hand, would wear a glove on their right.
