Gary Woodland started at Washburn University, but transferred to Kansas after his freshman year
Coming out of high school Woodland enjoyed playing basketball more than golf. He attended Washburn University on a basketball scholarship, but after 1 year transferred to Kansas to play golf. Pretty impressive that Gary received scholarships for two different sports during his college career. Woodland was a standout for the Jayhawk team, winning 4 college events.
