With some recognisable South Africa golfer names on the LIV tour the highest ranked male South African golfers at selection time were Christiaan Bezuidenhout (OWGR 40) and Erik Van Rooyen (67).

For the women, Ashleigh Buhai (OWGR 40)is well supported by her country woman Paula Reto (190).

The 2024 Olympic golf competitions

• Dates Men’s competition: 1-4 August 2024
• Dates Women's competition: 7-10 August 2024
• Olympic Golf Course: Le Golf National in Guyancourt
• A total of 120 players (60 per gender) are competing.
