He grew up playing golf as a junior at Cranbourne Golf Club in Melbourne.
He won the Victorian Amateur Championship in 2017.
As an amateur he also won the 2018 Australian Master of the Amateurs.
He turned pro in 2019.
David won the 2022–23 PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit.
In 2023 David Micheluzzi was invited to the PGA Championship ahead of his PGA Tour debut.
In October 2022 he won his first PGA Tour of Australasia event, the CKB WA PGA Championship, with a total score of 271 (-15). Runer up was Ben Ferguson 3 strokes behind.
He won the 2023 TPS Sydney with a total score of 259 (-25). Runners up were Daniel Gale and Deyen Lawson 4 shots behind.
He won the 2023 Play Today NSW Open with a total score of 264 (-20). Runner up was Kade McBride 2 shots behind.
He won the 2023 Victorian PGA Championship with a total score of 274 (-14). Runner up was Ben Eccles 1 shots behind.
David Micheluzzi played in the 2023 PGA Championship and The Open Championship. He did not make the cut in both tournaments.
