The total bonus FedEx Cup playoff pool is $60 million, and the overall winner takes home $15 million.
Each PGA tour event gives players FedEx points based on how they finish in the tournament. In order to qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs, you must be in the top 125 in points when the “regular” season ends.
Once the playoffs start, the field decreases in size each of the 3 weeks. From 125 players, to 70, to 30. If you make the Tour Championship (top 30 on the points list) then you have a chance to win the overall first place prize of $15 million.
