Chantananuwat first picked up a golf club at age three and competed in his first tournament at age four.

At just 14 years of age Ratchanon is the third youngest player ever to make the cut at the halfway stage in an the Asian Tour event.

With rounds of 69-71 in the 2022 Saudi International Ratchanon finished the first 36 holes level par, three shots inside the 3 over cut line.

By winning the 2022 Trust Golf Asian Mixed Cup, he became the youngest winner of an Official World Golf Ranking event at the age of 15 years and 37 days.

Chantananuwat’s amateur career is marked by several notable performances. He reached the semi-finals of The Amateur Championship in June 2023 at Hillside Golf Club in England, losing to Ronan Kleu.
