Luke Donald held the official world golf ranking number one for 56 weeks between May 2011 and August 2012.
In October 2010 Lee Westwood became the number one golfer, ending the reign of Tiger Woods. He held the top spot for 16 weeks and in April 2011 regained the position after winning the Indonesian Masters.
