The record breaking round helped the South African Grace to secure a 6th place finish for the Championship.
He started with a birdie on the first and four more on the fourth, fifth, eighth and ninth holes as he went out in a five-under 29 before making another three birdies on the back nine.
In total he scored 8 birdies and 10 pars.
Jordan Spieth won the 146th Open Championship. Runner up was Matt Kuchar.
The total tournament purse was $10,250,000.
