The Nedbank Golf Challenge, first played in 1981, is an annual men's professional golf tournament played at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City, South Africa.
The first tournament was played from 31st of December 1981 to 4th of January 1982 with a field of only 5 players: Seve Ballesteros, Johnny Miller, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Lee Trevino. Miller won $500,000 out of total prize money of $1,000,000.
It became a European Tour event in 2013.
In 2019 Tommy Fleetwood won the tournament and took home the winners cheque of $2.5 million after making 3 eagles in one round.
