Louis Oosthuizen grew up in South Africa and turned professional in 2002. He competed on various mini tours for a couple of years before earning his card to the European Tour in 2004.

Oosthuizen won the big one in 2010, when he snagged the Open Championship at St. Andrews. He lost two other majors in playoffs: the 2012 Masters to Bubba Watson and the 2015 Open Championship to Zach Johnson.
