PC Harding Park in San Francisco.
TPC Harding Park in San Francisco. This will be only the tenth time the Championship will have been played in the western half of the United States as well as being played on a municipal (or public) golf course.
The PGA Championship in 2020 marked the first major championship held at a TPC property and the first PGA Championship staged in San Francisco.
The Harding Park Golf Course opened on July 18, 1925.
The Harding Park Course was substantially renovated in 2005 to better suit it for PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions events. The restoration of Harding Park focused on maintaining the course’s integrity and unique characteristics while enhancing the original layout designed by world-renowned golf architects Willie Watson and Sam Whiting in 1925.
The project expanded the course from 6,743 yards (6,166 m) to nearly 7,200 yards (6,580 m) in length, and upgraded the driving range and clubhouse to PGA Tour standards.
