For the first time in its history, Italy hosted the Ryder Cup.
The 44th edition of the Ryder Cup (Europe vs USA golf challenge) was played from 29 September to 1 October 2023.
Marco Simone Golf Club has two golf courses.
Host of the 2021 Italian Open the brand new 18 hole Ryder Cup Course which was designed to be a championship course which will host important international golf events in the coming years.
There also is the Resort Course which is a shorter 9-hole course.
