“The Snail” putting stroke means striking the putt with your right pinky wrapped around the shaft, just inches from the ground.
This unorthodox putting stroke was invented by Mark Hubbard in college at San Jose State.
Hubbard has used “The Snail” putting technique in competition on both the PGA and Korn Ferry tours in the past.
The putting stroke was caught on camera in the second round of the American Express in 2021.
