TPC Sawgrass is located in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and has two courses, the Stadium Course and the Valley Course.

The Stadium Course is known as one of the most difficult golf courses in the world and was designed by Pete and Alice Dye.

The course was built to host The Players Championship.

It’s signature hole, the 17th, is a par-3, 137-yard (125 m). It has an island green and it’s one of golf's most recognizable and difficult holes. The hole has a capacity of 36,000 spectators.

Golf Digest ranked it 48th among “America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses for 2019-2020″ and ranked the Stadium Course 12th overall among “America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses” in 2017-2018. Golf Digest ranked the Stadium Course the No. 2 “Best Course You Can Play in the State of Florida”.

The Stadium course has also been featured in many best selling golf video games.

The Valley Course was designed by Pete Dye, Bobby Weed and player consultant Jerry Pate (1982 PLAYERS Champion).

The Valley Course also hosted the Web.com Tour Championship from 2013 to 2015.

The course was ranked No. 21 in Golfweek’s 2017-18 rankings of “Best Courses You Can Play” in Florida.

Pete sadly passed away on 9 January 2020.
