Kiawah Island Golf Resort is a 5 star resort with a 255 room hotel, close to 500 private villas, 22 tennis courts, golf courses, bars and restaurants.

The Ocean Course, opened in 1991, is the most famous course at the resort. It was designed by Pete and Alice Dye.

In 2000 the course featured in the golf movie “The Legend of Bagger Vance.

Tournaments held at the course include the 1991 Ryder Cup, the World Cup of Golf in 1997 and 2003 and the 2012 PGA Championship.
