The 2021 Olympic golf competitions were held 29 July - 8 August at Kasumigaseki Country Club in Japan.

Maximilian Kieffer turned professional in 2011 and plays on the European Tour. He briefly played college golf in the United States at the University of Florida. He plays at Hubbelrath Golf Club in Düsseldorf, the same club as Martin Kaymer.

Hurly Long plays on the Challenge Tour where he won the 2020 Italian Open Challenge. Long attended Texas Tech University from 2015 to 2018.

Having been born in the United States, Sophia Popov holds dual citizenship, United States and German. She played college golf at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She won the 2020 AIG Women's open.

Caroline Masson plays on the Ladies European Tour. Masson accepted a golf scholarship to Oklahoma State University before turning pro in December 2009.
