The Zurich Classic is a team event.
In 2017, the Zurich Classic became a team event.
Round 1 and 3 are Four-Ball (Best-Ball) and Rounds 2 and 4 are Foursomes (Alternate Shot).
The field consists of 80 teams (160 players).
Each of the top available players from the PGA Tour rankings who play in the tournament will choose a playing partner who also must have PGA Tour status.
player can also be a tournament sponsor exemption.
After the second round there is a cut of 35 teams and ties at the 35th position.
The Zurich Classic awards FedExCup points and official money.
The win also counts as an official PGA victory for both the members of the team.
The Zurich Classic is played at TPC Louisiana.
