Unfortunately, he hasn’t found the treasure just yet – Xander has not won a major championship
Xander played one year of college golf at Long Beach St. before transferring to San Diego St. He won 3 events during his college career.
Schauffele turned pro in 2015 and played two full seasons on the Web.com tour before securing his PGA tour privileges. He won PGA Rookie of the Year in 2017 and has continued to be successful.
In recent years, Xander has been all over major championship leader boards, but he hasn’t finished on top yet. He has the game to be a multi-major winner.
A T2 in 2019 and a T3 in 2021 suggest Augusta National sets up well for Xander.
A single top 10 - a T10 finish in 2020 - suggests the USPGA has not been his happiest hunting ground to date.
Six top 10s including a T3 in 2019 indicate a comfort level in his national open.
Only the one top 10 but this was a strong T2 in 2018. Hopefully more to come for Xander on the British Isles.
