What golf courses are on the British Open rota?

Since the first British Open Championship was first played on Prestwick golf club in 1860 the rota has included a total of 14 courses throughout Great Britain. Four of those courses are no longer on the rota.

The ten courses currently on the British Open rota are:

• Royal St George’s in England (scheduled for 2021)
• The Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland (scheduled for2022)
• Royal Liverpool in Scotland (scheduled for 2023)
• Royal Troon in Scotland (scheduled for 2024)
• Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland (last used 2019)
• Carnoustie in Scotland (last used 2018)
• Royal Birkdale in England (last used 2017)
• Royal Troon in Scotland (last used 2016)
• Muirfield in Scotland (last used 2013)
• Royal Lytham & St. Annes in England (last used 2012)
